The perfect guide for good health according to Vedic way of life : Healthy life for Indians : Healthy Indian food

The food we eat is what ultimately makes us. It amazes me to see both man and woman eating the same food, but the genetic software in their body converts the energy derived from that food into male and female bodies. Without going into much details, as this post is not about Vedas, there are two different types of food, the satvic food (vegetables, nuts, fruits) and tamsik food (meat, egg, wine). It is advisable to achieve balance and cerebral success humans eat satvic food. The Japanese divides food as Ying food and yang food. They say a balance between the two kinds of food is essential for harmonic life. We Indians, instead of looking east to Japan, look towards west, where eating meat is abundant. Also due to the Turks, Afghans and later the Europeans conquest of India, the Vedic and Satvic way of life has given way to Tamsik ways. Earlier what used to be way of life of the people doing menial labor has become the way of life of people of all walks of life. While travelling in a train or bus in any Indian city today, we wont be able to distinguish between a teacher, a bank employee or a municipality sweeper. they wear the same clothes, eat the same fast food (of course from different restaurants, but the basic constituents of the food remains the same), they wear the same kind of clothes (not same brands but similar type) and speak the same language (in informal conversations a professor and a clerk can be heard using the same slang).

Now what should be the perfect exercise regimen and food habits depend on the individual preference. But to my mind, the perfect way to remain healthy and sharp is given below.

1) Start your day as early as possible. (5-6 am)
2) Drink 2 glasses of water. (You can mix salt for clearing blocked colon)
3) Exercise vigorously for 30-40 mins. (Yoga, cycling, aerobics,
    zoomba etc.)
4) Again drink 2 glasses of water and wait for 30 mins. You will feel
intense pressure to relieve yourself after 30 mins. In that 30 mins
you can do these 3 types of exercise.

5) Now the best posture for defecation is squatting position. now get rid
of your western toilet and get an Indian one now.
6) After that take a bath, then offer flower, candle, incense stick, fresh
water in a small container and switch on the ceiling fan and say your
    prayers.
7) After that eat turmeric (fresh and raw, just eat by skinning it) and
garlic ( a tiny piece) along with a glass of amla juice (you can drink
other juice too with this like aloe vera, trifala, kerala etc)

8) Eat fruits like banana (mandatory), guava, pineapple,
papaya (mandatory), watermelon, jamun, apple and nuts (almonds
should be put soaked in a bowl of water overnight) and sweets for
breakfast. And absolutely nothing else. (Do not eat oranges and
grapes or sour fruits) Also drink a glass of bell (wood apple)
9) Late morning after a gap of 1-2 hrs (because you should never eat
fruits and carbohydrates together) eat 2 bread with butter and 1
    boiled egg.
10) Eat lunch consisting of rice, lentils, daal, spinach, ghee, green
orange, fish/egg (optional) and meat only once in 7 days. Drink
      coconut water after lunch.
11) After lunch it should be mandatory to eat white curd (khatta
dahi). (2-3 spoons at least). Probiotics is a must after a big meal.
12) Evening snack should consist of muri or cherey. No fried food please.
13) Drink green tea after it.
14) Dinner should be early and consists of 2-3 chapatis and vegetables.
No non veg food at dinner.
15) Eat a few teaspoons of honey(it is an excellent pro-biotic) with
      dinner.
16) Go to bed by 11 pm. And DO NOT sit on a chair after dinner. If you
are not at home to drink green tea, drink it after dinner.
17) Every few days drink a glass of orange juice.
18) Do meditation every day before going to sleep to get a perfect REM
      sleep.
19) never watch pornographic things after evening. (It is best to avoid it
      altogether)
20) Connect with nature by taking care of plants in your garden or terrace
or window (if you stay in a flat or rented house), if you don't
have a garden take a walk in a park.

If you seriously need to reset your body, do the Sankha Prakshalan Yoga.
It should be done only once in six month and there are strict procedures
to follow after it. The given links will help.
